Your evening tour begins with a
pleasant scenic drive through the illuminated boulevards of Athens, as far as
Piraeus, the commercial port of Athens. Continue to Marina Zea, one of the
busiest yacht harbors in the Mediterranean. From here, a short drive to
Mikrolimano, another picturesque yacht and fishing harbor, home of the Yacht
club and many waterfront seafood restaurants. We finally return to Athens and
the renowned "Plaka" district, located at the foot of the Acropolis, for dinner
and live floor show at a typical Greek taverna |

Leave Athens for a
wonderful drive along the scenic coastal road which affords a splendid view
of the
Saronic Gulf,
passing through some of Athens most beautiful suburbs (Glyfada, Vouliagmeni,
Varkiza) to Cape Sounion. Here you will visit the 5th century BC
temple of Poseidon
with one of the most breathtaking panoramic views in the world (on a clear day
you can see at least seven islands). The Doric columns are made of local marble.

A visit to the
Argolis region, including Mycene, the plain of Argos, the bay of Nafplion and
Epidavros. Leave Athens in the morning for the
Corinth Canal
via the new scenic highway (short stop at the Canal). The Fortress of Acro
Corinth can be seen on top of a hill. A visit will be made to Mycene, one of the
oldest archaeological sites in Greece famous for the Lion Gate, the
Tomb of Agamemnon and the Palace. Proceed to Nafplion for lunch. During the
afternoon a visit to the ancient theatre of Epidavros is programmed. This
theatre is worldwide known for its fabulous acoustics. Return to Athens. |

the morning for Delphi via the National highway passing by Thebes - Levadia
(short stop) - Arachova. Guided tour of the ancient site and the

After lunch return to Athens with a short stop at the picturesque mountain

This relaxing
cruise is a perfect tour for those who want to see many different faces of
Greece in a short time. From Trocadero the ship sets sail to the island of
Aegina, the biggest island in the Saronic Gulf inhabited from the 2nd mil. BC.
Two important archaeological sites can be found, such as the Temple of Athena
Aphaia, as well as a large cathedral dedicated to St. Nectarios the last
canonised Saint of the Greek Orthodox Church. Cruise through the straits to
Poros, a beautiful small island covered with pine and lemon trees.
Lunch on board and then on to Hydra: the ‘smartest’ of the Greek islands. The
unique architecture of its houses, the pedestrian narrow streets full of
boutiques, exclusive jewellery and handicrafts, attracts both shoppers and
photographers. The crystal clear waters will refresh the swimmer.

Day 1: Leave
Athens in the morning for the Corinth Canal (short stop). Pass by Ancient
Corinth then on to Mikines (visit). Proceed to Nafplia and then on to Epidavros
to visit the Ancient Theatre. Overnight in Nafplio.
Day 2: Leave Nafplio in the morning, via Tripoli-Megalopolis, for Olympia. Visit
the Sanctuary of Zeus and Museum. Overnight in Olympia.
Day 3: Depart Olympia in the morning via Patras to Rio, cross the bay by
ferryboat to Antirio. Drive to picturesque Nafpaktos and from there, on to
Delphi. Visit part of the antiquities and museum of Delphi. Overnight in Delphi.
Day 4: Further sightseeing of Delphi to complete the visit. Return to Athens
with a short stop at the picturesque village of Arachova, built on the south
slopes of Parnassus, and famous for its attractive hand-woven carpets and
quilts, as well as its wine and cheese. |
